meet Jiji~!




A few of you guessed correctly, a pet of her very own, and there is nothing she's wanted more than a cat :) We found her through our local pet rescue, she's 5 months old and incredibly sweet and curious. While I'm happy to have another cat, it seems a bit surreal and as with any relationship, it will take time for a bond to form. E is completely in awe of this (early) birthday gift and couldn't fall asleep last night for her excitement. Jiji (pronounced Gigi) was chosen after the cat in one of her favorite anime films, Kiki's Delivery Service.

Ransom isn't as thrilled as E, and seems a bit depressed, but he'll come around. He acted the same way with Gambit and he was second to come into the family at that time. I am giving him tons of extra loves and reminding him he's my boy and no one, not anyone, could ever replace him :)

    Oh.....she's a sweetie! Belle really wants a grey tabby. Oh, and a calico. Oh, and an all black cat. Oh, and a white one. But that's all. ;-)

    Aww, she is beautiful! Congratulations! And how wonderful you were able to get her from a rescue organization. That is how I adopted my 11 year old kitty Betsy (when she was a kitten just about Jiji's age), and she is such a loving and cuddly cat who brings joy to my life every single day! Hope Jiji's transition to her new home will go as smoothly as possible.

    no, that's his sad face :) he has never once been angry in his whole life. today though he sniffed her. so, he's warming up too.

    I am definitely a cat person. We have 2 cats and a dog. A big welcome to your little Gigi! I read about E's medical check up..awesome! I hope 2011 is fabulous for you all.

    Oh, you have made her birthday wish come true--I hope that they are "best buds" for years and years! Is E's birthday on Monday? As I remember, she shares that day with my daughter who is so excited to be turning 10--double digits!! For me, 10 sounds so much more grown-up than 9. Time is moving too quickly!

    Purrfectly sweet! Ransom's sideway glare is too much. My oldest adores anime! It has been a challenge for me to find age appropriate anime for her viewing pleasure! Kiki's Delivery Service is a total fav. My little one is all about Pucca everything...Pucca brings her to laughter from the inside out!

    Welcome to the family Jiji. Your "mom" has always had the power to win over the "non-cat-fans" of this family...you actually look a bit like yam-yam to me! And Boob...it won't be long and you'll be snugglin' up with Jiji!
