one year since i last woke to your melodic piercing meow at 3 a.m.
i miss your howls, Yamyaneezer Scrooge, even though i cursed
them in half sleep while you were with us.
wish you were here to wake me, one more time.

Remember when I lost the Critter? I was so upset I couldn't even post a picture of him. Cliche, but maybe they're both up there chasing each other:0)
ReplyDeleteWe miss your photos of "Gambit with the green eyes" too....
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't until I read your post that it occurred to me that Oct 1 is the 4th anniversary of when I brought Jami home.......can you believe it? We had not even met each other yet. It feels like I've known you much longer!!!
Aw, I am so sorry!! It was one year ago this month that we lost our old 3 legged red dog (who was a foster and ended up staying) and I still miss her so much. We fostered another old 3 legged dog about 6 months ago and guess what, she ended up staying too. Thinking about ya!
ReplyDeleteRIP Gambit. You where so well loved.

None of us will ever forget the fun and annoying things our furry babies did. I miss my fur baby too. Big hugs.
ReplyDeleteIt's just terrible to lose a pet. I still miss my Jazz and all her crankiness. It's amazing how they nuzzle their way into our hearts.
ReplyDeleteI can not imagine. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteKeep smilin!
It's so terrible to loose these furry creatures we fall in love with. They seem to bring so much into our lives, yes, even the yowls and howls are precious.
ReplyDeleteI know that you must miss your kitty terribly. I am sorry that he had to move on.
Losing a furry creature is often harder than we expect. (((hugs)))
