But, thankfully *wipes forehead*, it was this cute and terrified little tree frog that I promptly returned to his own habitat. Because I could never question my love of tree frogs. You may think he looks "happy" in that second photo but the truth is, he seemed a bit peekish and shocky and I was worried for him. Hopefully he's hopped off for some new adventure that doesn't involve hanging from my bathroom walls.

things that go bump in the day
It isn't everyday that you are sitting on the toilet indisposed in the restroom that you hear a jarring thump. And realize you thought you saw (out of the corner of your eye) something small diving from the ceiling into your trashcan. And that, since you are not in any position to get up, so to speak, you have to sit there, waiting. Glancing from ceiling to can, ceiling to can- really quite frightened about having to check what might have landed there. And setting your love of mice aside- you note that the vent is just above that trashcan and can't help but wonder: what if this is a dead mouse that just tumbled to its grave? Or worse, a living one that at any moment will scurry its way out of this temporary holding cell? Because now you are questioning your love of mice. Should I just feel lucky it happened to land in the trashcan? What are the chances of that? I've never seen a mouse in any house I've ever lived in.

LOL...Cute......lucky you saw him fall & could be his rescuer.......
ReplyDeleteOne word for you: Pumpkins are here!!!!!
I have been finding them everywhere! One flew(and I mean flew)right past my head and stuck on the wall. How do they come in? I try to catch and release them before the cat catches and tosses them!
ReplyDeleteWe don't see tree frogs here.... He sure is cute!
ReplyDeleteUmm, yes, that would be rather jarring. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I would have hopped right off the toilet - even the frog lover that I am. You area a calm one. He/she's a cute tiny thing though!!
ReplyDeleteOh my! If that was me on the um toilet, I'd be a mess right now! He is pretty cute though!
ReplyDeleteThis happened to me once, except it was a squirrel. As soon as I saw the little paws trying to pull up the ceiling tile, I was up and out in a flash! My landlord stayed up all night to catch him and took him to the park.

Love the images. He is so cute!!! By the way we have a kill free trap for mice. We have used it only once and released the scared little fellow onto the wild.
ReplyDeleteThat would have freaked me out. I can't stand critters in my house. Glad you were able to return him outside safe and sound.
