E: I need to get big so I walk

Mama: E, you won't walk sweet pea, remember? Because that one leg doesn't work like your other one.

E: Well, let's-e cut it off and get new one

  2. Such a sweet, innocent wish. I have heard this many times from my two children with limb differences. "When I grow up, I'll have five fingers/toes." It's a little heartbreaking, but then I just remind them how their two (or three) digits are just as good and capable as their sister's five. And, I'm not fibbing.

  4. This sounds so familiar. Jazzie has mentioned many times that she wants to get rid of her bad ear and simply have it fixed. It's hard....
