“How did it get so late so soon?”
― Dr. Seuss

It's like glimpsing too far into the future, the "baby" that came to me so rapidly changing before my very eyes. It is difficult to witness time in this way, and not feel overwhelmed with a combination of grief and abundant joy, both at once.

  2. I was so happy to see a post on my sidebar and raced over to see that FACE! Oh, she's so grown up - How did that happen? My baby girl graduated and is now moving to LA and I still say. When? How? did that happen?
My goodness what a beauty she is, and I know from your words that beauty comes from deep within that child's soul.
So happy to see you guys. Please keep us updated <3

  4. Oh, my. My heart skipped a beat! I cannot believe how she has grown! So beautiful.

P.S. Just happened upon this video…is that your sweet baby girl in one of the pictures (go to 2:48/4:44)? If not, the resemblance is uncanny.

    Hope you all are well.

    1. Yes Glinda that is her, wearing one of the shirts we sent her in a care package. This was about 2 months before we met her. :)

  5. Beautiful; I would give anything to have those types of candid shots of my babies; you are blessed (which I am sure you know).

  6. Just dropping in to say au contraire on the picture you thought was me :) That is my very well kept sister-in-law (the blond) who always looks as if she just returned from a spa vacation; I on the other hand always look hag ridden and as if I just returned from a house wherein two very spirited 3 year olds reside :) The other brunette is my sister, equally well-coiffed as her children are old enough to stay out of her hair :)

  8. My God, am I really here?? Isn't blogger considered a modern-day stone tablet? ;-) Kidding! It is nice to walk down the blogger memory lane, and be greeted by such an adorable face in the picture above. If you can, go back to the first post of not just this blog but of the blog you had before this one (if you haven't deleted it). How much of what you posted in the past would you be willing to relive? That might be a tough question to answer. So much good mixed in with the bad. Anyway, glad to see your blog is at least semi active! I think I'll start posting on mine and attempt to reconnect with old blogger friends.

    1. It seems some people are coming back to it a bit. I post about once a month if that- it's a nice way to "remember", mainly just for us. I just posted today in fact, put it up probably just after you visited, so weird :) It's nothing FB doesn't really know though.
